Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do you teach lessons during the school year?
A: Yes! I teach lessons in two sessions - Fall Session (August to December) and Spring Session (January - May). Each session guarantees 16 lessons.
Dates for 2020-2021
Fall Session: August 23-December 20
Spring Session: January 11-May 16
Q: Do you offer a trial lesson?
A: Yes I do. I understand that some students may not be used to studying privately and may be apprehensive to start. A trial lesson is free if a student chooses not to study with me, otherwise, the trial lesson acts as our first lesson for any given session.
Q: How do I pay for lessons?
A: I offer two payment options for lessons. Families can choose to pay for Fall or Spring Sessions all at once or in four equal payments. If full tuition is paid up-front, families receive a 10% discount on lessons. Otherwise, four equal monthly payments are acceptable.
Q: What ages do you teach?
A: I teach any level of player! I mostly teach students between grades 6-12, but I have had adult students in the past. I have also taught students in grades 4-5, but only on a case-by-case basis.
Q: Can I only take lessons in the summer?
A: In the past, I have shied away from the "summer student", but I understand that some students are just too busy during the school year for lessons. My summer session is typically 10 weeks (Memorial day-End of July) and all lessons must be hour-long sessions.
