MEET THE STUDIO


LOGAN MORRIS
Class of 2022
Logan Morris is a young music educator who is native to Arkansas and currently residing in Fayetteville, AR. He is a senior music education major at the University of Arkansas currently completing his final degree requirements and writing his honor’s thesis on gender and musical instruments. While his concentration over the past several years has been excelling within his degree program, he has pursued music education through the marching arts and the study of yoga.
DERRICK RASSINIER
Class of 2022
Derrick Rassinier began playing the horn at age 11 under the instruction of Evan Mino, former assistant principal horn of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. In 2012 he attended the CICASummer Music Festival, which inspired him to pursue a career in music. After moving to Eureka Springs in 2014, Derrick discovered composition and honed his skills under the influence of Barry Milner.


TYLER OSTERMAN
Class of 2022
Tyler Osterman is an upcoming music educator and horn player currently studying at theUniversity of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas. A passionate teacher, he is currently in his final year of working towards an honor’s degree in music education.
DYLAN SMITH
Class of 2025
Dylan Smith is a freshman French Horn player at the University of Arkansas. He has successfully performed with ensembles ranging from award-winning hundred-piece bands like the Van Buren High School Marching Band to small wind ensembles and orchestras Like the Grand Avenue Baptist Orchestra and the Van Buren High School Wind Ensemble.


RACHAEL BREITENSTEIN
Class of 2025
Rachael Breitenstein is a freshman horn player studying Music Education at the University of Arkansas from Wylie, Texas. While living in Wylie, she was part of That Wylie Band where she was given opportunities to lead the mellophones and the concert ensembles that toured many different places around the country.
MACY JAMES
Class of 2025
Macy James is a hard-working and energetic hornist with a love for music and a passion for teaching and learning. As a blind musician, her goal is to make the world of music more accessible for others with visual impairments. She has worked with band directors and members of the Arkansas School Band and Orchestra Association to create accommodations for blind students in all-region and all-state competitions in Arkansas, and she hopes to continue this work in her career as a music educator.


SHAMAR INCLAN
Class of 2023
Shamar Inclan is a Music Education Major at the University of Arkansas. As a student in grade school, she took part in school marching bands and indoor percussion groups, and she became passionate about competitive marching band and the creation of marching shows. She uses her studies of the french horn to further her musical understanding so that she can apply good music to complex marching band shows. At the University of Arkansas, she is an active member of the Razorback Marching Band as a Visual Section Leader.
